This is a case of injury to Right Lower limb due to Toad traffic accident. Evaluation revealed fractured tibia and fibula with vascular compromise of Right Peroneal and Right Posterior Tibial artery. Right anterior tibial artery was found to be intact .
Emergency operation was planned in which bone fixation was followed by vascular reconstruction.
It is to be noted that the most crucial part of these surgeries is the time of presentation to the hospital from the time of injury. Golden period for repair as per the texts is considered to be within 6 hours of the injury. The sooner the patient presents to the hospital, the better are the results.
